The St. Lawrence County Health Initiative is a new community health improvement
agency in St. Lawrence County. Our mission is to measurably improve the health of
county residents through a collaborative community effort. Many communities in the
U.S. have forged collaborative efforts like ours to address the health needs of the
community and work together to improve them. We concentrate our efforts on three main areas of community need:
to increase access to healthcare for all county residents;
to reduce the incidence of substance abuse through education, prevention and treatment opportunities; and
to increase opportunities for sound nutrition and physical activity.
The narrative in each of these pages will introduce you to our history and development, our current projects, our future goals and our many partners. Welcome.
