Since its start in February, the Brasher Falls team has been VERY busy! The Brasher team has been constantly on the go with involvement in several events both in the school and out in the community. Brasher Falls is our only SPORT Team that has successfully started a teen tobacco quit group at school. They also helped present in a mini-health fair sponsored by SADD, they presented to the entire middle school in small groups. In community events, Brasher Falls was very successful in fundraising and walking in The Edward I. Moses Walk/Run for Life.

The Brasher Falls SPORT Team also participated in Outer Market Mania during Potsdam Summer Festival. During Outer Market Mania SPORT Team Members were busy collecting donations to keep SPORT going, face painting and helping kids make hula hoops.

SPORT uses community events like the E.I. Moses Walk/Run and Outer Market Mania to let the community know that our program is out there. We promote the program, different activities we are involved in and recruit new SPORT team members. Events like these are also a chance for SPORT to show the community that youth aren't always out to cause trouble, but that they can be positive role models for their peers and younger kids. We also like to use events like these to give back to our community because they give so much to our program. Feel like you're missing out on all the fun???

We are always accepting new members on the Brasher Falls team and on all of our other SPORT Teams in Canton, Gouverneur, Hermon-Dekalb, and Ogdensburg. Joining SPORT is easy! All you have to do is print and application off our website and send it in!
